    hi, is there a barcode scanner app for the pinphone 3gs ? i have tried several java .jar file scanners and none seem to work ,even tried unpacking an apk scanner and converting it ,but gave up ..... thanks mark

    I don't thing so, I'd be surprised if Java on that phone would work in combination with the camera.

    You tried to convert an APK program into a java *.jar-file? And you could install it on the pinphone but only the scanner didn't work?
    I've read that it is possible to convert java files into APK Programs for Android cellphones...but the other way round???
    would be happy if you explain what you've done :)

    Yes i found this link too, but this is only a way for decompiling the apk-files into single files to manipulate them. I've just tried to convert an Adobe Reade and some other small programs, but it doesn't work, phone says only "jar-file is wrong". Understandable, all the program design and so on is in the other files, not in the classes.dex which you can convert to *.jar-file....
