Recently bought a Nokia N97 Windows Mobile clone. Really nice looking phone, looks exactly like the real Nokia N97. It even has a metal housing around the screen. But unfortunetly that is all this phone has, good looks. When I received the package, all the contents were strewn about the box, nothing was in sealed plastic. The second charging unit was missing. The only thing with an actual seal was the charger's plastic bag and the barcode seal was broken on it. I put one of the batteries in the phone, hooked up the charger and let it charge overnight. When I woke, looked at the screen. Still charging. Around noon, still charging. So I decide to give it a try. Booted the phone, it did not go through the setup steps that a new WM phone usually does. I began to worry. Didn't take long for my worries to be relized. Here is a list of defects: Absolutely doesn't receive any cell signals, even when I'm standing next to my Carrier's tower(AT&T 850 mhz). The touchscreen isn't very sensitive or accurate. The main camera on the rear and flash doesn't work, the only camera working is the VGA camera on the front. Sometimes the WiFi selector in Wireless Manager disappears, no way to turn on or off. The keyboard has 2 letter K's, a K is where J should be. The batteries that came with the phone are garbage, they won't keep a charge for longer than 5 minutes. At first I thought maybe the phone was draining the batteries too quickly, but I bought an authentic Nokia BP-4L. The fast battery drain didn't happen with the real Nokia battery. So the batteries that came with the phone are total garbage. The data cable doesn't charge the battery when connected to the computor. When connected to Active Sync, it loses connection within 3 minutes. I contacted Fastcardtech, wanting a replacement or an exchange for a different phone. Their reply was as follows: Dear buyer: Follow our company give our all product warranty ,under 1 year phone. you can get free repair service. Here is our policy: http://www.fastcardtech.com/article.php?id=12 This is basicly telling me that I can send it back for repair or replacement. Goes on to say they may replace it with a used unit. Has anyone here actually sent a phone back to FCT for repair or replacement? Did you get your actual phone back or did they send you a used one or a new one? How long did the process take? I think that I'm done with FCT, the last two phones that I purchased have been a garbage. Has anyone here purchased phones through Merimobiles.com or CNDigit.com? How was the purchasing experience and did you receive quality products?
