Thanks @zijin_cheng for the review. It is the first detailed review of the Ezbook 3 that I see.

Concerning the (few) advantages of the Ezbook 3 compared to the Chuwi: I find Chuwi's missing shortcuts to trackpad deactivation and diplay brightness as well as the heavier weight its biggest disadvantages, compared to the Ezbook.

Apart from that, a lot of people, me included, just ordered the Ezbook 2 version with Z8350 processor because of a recent special offer. So we will all soon be proud owners of the predecessor version 2 of the Ezbook. With that respect your mixed verdict on the Ezbook 3 performance and price at least does not make me regret my decision to buy the Ezbook 2. Thank you for that. ;)

You mentioned the Ezbook 2 in your review. So I think, a lot of people, again me included, would be very interested in a direct comparison of those two Ezbook models. Especially when it comes to the boot process. I understand that the memory type and speed are the same for the two Ezbooks and the Chuwi. Does the Chuwi or Ezbook 3 boot faster than the Ezbook 2 or do they all take about the same speed?

I have an older Voyo vBook V3 with Z8300 processor and also with eMMC memory and the Windows login appears after about 45 second after switching on, and after about 30 seconds after woken up from hibernation mode.

I wonder if the new models have a faster boot time?

Again, thanks for making us all feel happy to have ordered the cheaper Ezbook 2 model ;)

    Edit:

At about 5:05 into your video, when you pile up those three laptops:

Is the bottom one the Ezbook 2, the middle one the Chuwi Lapbook 14.1, and the top one the new Ezbook 3?

Is it just me or the viewing angle, or does the Ezbook 2 really look the slimmest and most elegant one with its most consequently wedge shaped body?

Haha you got that right, the EZBook 2 is still (and probably will be for a long time) the best atom laptop you can buy right now. I'll try to answer all your questions as well.

The missing shortcuts is a disadvantage that I did notice but did not think it would fit into the short review I had planned, both of which I actually use quite a bit on my Xiaomi Air 12.

Haha yes at this moment don't buy the EZBook 3. However, I did find the EZBook 3 on super sale at $209, which at that point, BUY IT. Its $229 right now I believe, which would make it a decent deal, but depending how much you got your EZBook 2 might not be that great a deal after all.

I don't remember the exact boot time, but Apollo Lake devices (regardless of model) boot a lot faster than Atoms, even without SSDs. I would say its easily 1/3 faster than my EZBook 2, meaning 25 seconds at most. The Lapbook is faster than that, but I'll have to check. Also one huge point to mention is that an Apollo Lake NEEDS to be paired with an SSD to fully realize the CPU's potential. If its just an eMMC, then the eMMC will be bottlenecking when you are opening apps (e.g. reading from the hard drive).

haha also one of my pet peeves with the EZBook 2 are the huge bezels. I hate them so so much.

When I pile the 3 laptops, you got that exactly right. The EZBook 2 is the slimmest, 18mm vs 20mm for both the other ones I believe. However, with the fashionable colour moving closer to greyish silver instead of pure silver, the EZBook 3 does look better even though its thicker. IMO at least.
