CEFON phones based on MTK?

Hi,

I have received a quotation from E-Techco for CEFON phones. They claim 728D, 726D, 737D and 638O are based on MTK CPU (chipset) and MTK OS.

1) Does anyone know if E-Techno is the actual manufacturer of CEFON phones? Or is this just a reseller? Does anyone know CEFON phones?

2) Can I somehow verify which MTK CPU is used in these CEFON phones?

As far as I understand I could use a serial cable and read the firmware from the CEFON using MTK FlashTool. Is this firmware file a .bin file? Is it possible to de-compose this firmware file into its individual binaries? Replace a binary and compose the firmware again? Flash it back into the phone?

Hope some one can help in this forum. Any help/info appreciated.

It would help if you had a link to show us what kind of phones you are talking about. I've never heard of CEFON phones
