Flashing of NKTEL 2009

Guys, i'm a noob at this kinda thing. I wanna buy the NKTEL 2009, from aliexpress, as it is pretty cheap but it does not contain Java. It says it has a MTK operating system, so want to know if there are any other software that i can put on the phone, or maybe a method and guide to copy of it's firmware, add the Java module and put it back. I done flashing of Motorola and Sony Ericsson before and i'm pretty good at computers, so willing to try anything to get this done. Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello kavirz :)
Greetings to South Africa from germany!

But i have no good news for you.
You can´t add only tha java function alone.
You will always need a complete java enabled firmware compatible with your phone.
And sorry, that will not be available.... :(

I was reading up on firmware editing. Sounds very interesting. Want to find out if there is a method to take the current firmware on the phone and copy if onto a computer? That way i can see if i can edit it and add the java and the files needed with it(it's core) to make it work on the phone.

By the way, the NKTEL 2009, seems to be quite a good price for the features, such as the 3megapixel camera, mobile tv...

Thanks

without having seen this phone: i am quite sure that the camera wont have the stated resolution ( 0,3MP will be realistic ) and the TV-receiver will be analogue.

I also thought that but i have seen phones from china with pretty decent resolution on their camera's. Never buy any of them yet so its a risk. Here the link to the phone,

http://www.hw-tech.com.cn/product/295648510-209400012/brand_new_mobile_phone_2009_Dualband_mobile_with_2_6inch_QVGA_screen_dual_sim_cards_dual_standby_mobile.html.

It doesn't have touch screen which is different from the regular china phone, but is states to have a 3mp camera with a resolution of 2480 × 1536. And it is under $60 with shipment. Not that is pretty cheap. If you guys know of any other good china phones(non clones), that look pretty good, send some links. I've been searching through alibaba.com for phones. Pretty good site.

i dont see there anything about TV?

Forget about those 3MP, it will definitely be less. (0,3MP, i bet...)
And it is only Dualband, so i am not sure if it will work in your country?

I dont think you will have so much pleasure with this phone. Better save up some more money and buy something of more decent quality...

Have a look at this site, wide range of phones and they wont tell you fairytales about the cameras resolutions etc.

To make a readback of your firmware from phone to pc will not be the problem.
But firmware editing is only very limited possible.
You can change some pictures and sound, that´s all.

But you can´t add any function.

If java ist important for you, just look for a java-enabled one.
That will be the best solution :)
