I think I can? :)

India, aren't you having trouble with Chinese IMEI numbers in your country? I read a lot of articles that non "official" IMEI numbers don't work in your country. Could this be the case?

Seems to be exactly this Problem!
look her:
Mobile phones without valid Imei closed (China India)

In China have been closed as a result of invalid standard numbers with mobile phones the net access of approx. 25 million devices.
Now the branch has reacted to a law already adopted in October, 2008 in general. To give to close time for the equipment of technologies around net accesses to the providers, the conversion of the law was pushed long out.
The closed mobile phones come primarily from China. ICA-the association of the Indian mobile radio suppliers announced which all owners of a mobile transceiver cannot use without valid standard number (Imei) the mobile radio networks any more. With the Imei (Internationally mobile station equipment Identity) concerns it around a 15-figure standard number by which every mobile phone can become unambiguously indentiviziert. Among other things it is also required to close a Hanyd after a theft or around mobile phones to entsperren.

Affected mobile phone owners leave yet till spättestens Monday her Imei or acquire alternatively a new standard number for sale. According to a report of The Times of India 13 percent of the mobile phones used in India are concerned. It concerns as a rule import from China. 5-8 percent of the closed devices should be Indian mobile radio customers.

Information without guarantee.

Government of India blocks more than 23 million devices without IMEI
02.12.2009/05:06 o'clock | Author: Kamal | In: News

By the Indian phone societies the government allows to of India block all devices in the net which own no unequivocal or no IMEI. With more than 500 million mobile radio participants India has the second biggest mobile radio market in the world.

The IMEI (Internationally mobile equipment Identity) is a worldwide, unequivocal standard number for mobile final devices (mobile phone, Smartphones & mini-computer).

Mobile phones without IMEI are simply favorable from the unique acquisition and cannot be located technically.

During the last terrorist posters in India it was found out that mobile phones served without IMEI as a communicationport. Therefore the government wants to take no risk and closes with it all devices without 15-figure code. Most devices are a cheap import without manufacturer's marking as well as without checked security.

Yes we have restrictions to use official IMEI here, and my phone correctly shows 2 IMEI nos but still get Invalid Sim error with 1 operator while I change the operater it works like a charm, But the prob is that I want to use the Vodaphone sim which is not working.

Do I have to flash, Re write the IMEI nos or something else?

I am thinking to send back my Phone to china(Fastcardtech) please guide what to do?

Invalid IMEI

Hello all,

I have just received my Tops HD9/HD2 Android dual sim mobile and it looks and works great. Except... The phone.. Both SIMS give the INVALID IMEI message. When typing *#06# it also says Invalid IMEI on both SIMS. Now I just saw this post.

Could you provide me with a solution?

Thanks!
