iOcean kündigt neues Flaggschiff Smartphone "X8" an

iOcean hat sich viel Zeit genommen um ein neues Flaggschiff Smartphone vorzustellen, doch nun ist es endlich soweit.

Wer sich auf dem derzeitigen Markt für Octa Core Smartphones aus China umsieht, der wird kaum ein gerät entdecken, welches sich so richtig aus der Masse abhebt. Die meisten Hersteller beschränken sich auf die Vortführung alter Konzepte oder statten bereits existierende Modell mit einem Octa Core Prozessor aus. Auch iOcean hat schon etwas in diese Richtung gemacht, doch nun hat der Hersteller sein neues Flaggschiff Smartphones vorgestellt, welches die X7 Reihe ablösen soll.

Das Gerät wird unter dem Namen iOcean X8 vertrieben und hebt sich doch etwas deutlicher von den anderen Smartphones ab. So handelt es sich hier nicht nur um ein Upgrade, sondern um ein gänzlich neues Smartphone. Das iOcean X8 ist mit einem 5,7" 1080p Bildschirm ausgestattet, welcher mit Gorilla Glass 3 vor Kratzern geschützt ist. Doch nicht nur die Front des Geräts besteht aus Gorilla Glass, auch die Rückseite besteht aus diesem. Zwischen diesen beiden Glasplatten befindet sich ein Magnesium-Aluminium Unibody Gehäuse. Die Dicke des Geräts beträgt dabei nur 7,7mm. Damit macht das iOcean X8 optisch einiges her.

Doch nicht nur die Optik kann sich sehen lassen, auch die Hardware bietet eine bessere Ausstattung als die meisten anderen Octa Core Smartphones. Als Prozessor kommt hier die 2GHz Variante des MT6592 zum Einsatz. 2GB RAM sowie 32GB interner Speicher sind ebenso an Bord. Das Smartphone bietet Dual SIM Unterstützung für WCDMA und GSM Netze, GPS, Bluetooth sowie 2,4GHz und 5GHz WLAN. Als Akku kommt eine 2.700mAh Zelle zum Einsatz.

Das iOcean X8 wird zusammen mit den anderen Octa Core Smartphones von iOcean ab Mitte nächsten Monats in China erhältlich sein.

Wird sich zeigen würde Ich sagen.... Wie teuer soll es den werden @Doctor ? Ich habe da etwas gelesen von ca. 300 US Dollar / 220 € ?

iOcean on the other hand have realised that relying on a processor update is not the way to win theoctacore war, so their latest flagship phone not only receives some nice updates over the X7, but an all new slim body protected by Corning Gorilla Glass on both sides!

The iOcean X8 had been spotted in a leak months ago where it was wrongly rumoured to the companies new phablet. The iOCean X8 certainly does have a larger display measuring 5.7-inch but it isn’t the largest phone in the new iOcean line-up. The display is an OGS unit, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution and can be used while wearing gloves.

Turn the X8 over and more Gorilla Glass takes up the rear of the phone. Glass on both sides and a magnesium alloy frame in the middle make for a quality unibody device which not only looks but measures just 7.7mm with a 2700mAh battery.

From the press images which iOcean have released of the X8, the phone looks quite similar to the smaller Oppo R1 smartphone released late last year.

Also inside the wafter thin body are a 2.0Ghz octacore MT6592T Mediatek Processor, 2GB RAM , 32GB memory, dual sim for WCDMA and GSM networks, WIFI, Bluetooth GPS and 2.4/5.0Ghz WIFI.

The iOcean X8 is exactly the type of phone I expected to see in the octacore era in China. The past two years Chinese phone makers have been lucky in that technology has helped them to easily move ahead in the game. 2014 will be all about quality and innovation!

The X8 along with other iOcean octacore phones will go on sale in the middle of next month here in China.
