Chinese smartphone maker Oppo mobiles is soon going to launch a phone called the R9.
The company has
sent out teasers on social media, though as of now, there is no
confirmation on the launch date for the device.
The phone is said to look very similar to the
iPhone 6S Plus. The teaser which is in
Chinese highlights the number '9' and the translated text suggests that the phone could come
with some innovative camera technology.
The device is likely to trot a
6-inch quad-HD display which has a
1,440x2,560 pixels resolution.
Like most flagship phones of 2016, it too will probably launch with the
Qualcomm
Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with
3GB or 4GB RAM.
The phone is said to pack
64GB of internal storage and have a
microSD card slot
which will support further expansion of memory.
Grapevine suggests that the phone could have a
21-megapixel rear shooter and a
13-megapixel front camera, which itself is a formidable spec.
The phone is also said to have a
3,700mAh battery which should also support
Qualcomm's Quick Charging technology. Like most phones, it will run on Android,
however it could either use
Marshmallow or the older Lollipop.
Another addition to the phone could be a fingerprint scanner, which has kind of
become a standard feature on most high-end smartphones.
