Peterri, please remove the ROM that you called "V6 speed ROM" from the downloads. That ROM is mine and you have removed the readme.pdf that was inside the zip file. This is the real link to my V6MOD: link removed.

If you want to have my custom ROMs please go to the support thread... But please don't get the credits that don't belong to you.

Hello, i got that ROM from etowalk.....so its like this, not from 4shared. But if you say, it`s yours i trust in you. I can not proofe any ROM Update i get by who is the developer. I will take it away from Database, but only a short question...WHY!? Are you not interested in helping other users to get better soft!?

PS: I didnt get any credits!

It's mine and you can check in Settings / About phone that ROM version is: 10HX2 V6MOD by BM (29-03-2011). My name is Bruno Martins (BM) and normally my user in foruns is bgcngm.

Of course I'm interested in helping other users to get better soft. That's why I've released the ROM, but the ROM should be shared as is, i.e. with the readme file included that contains the credits. If you want to share it, please share the file from the link from 4shared.

Once again, the support forum for my ROMs is in my forum space. Don't take it personal, but I just think that credits should not be taken from who deserves.

We meet your wish, and deleted the file. But only for my understanding, have you done a reverse engineering to the firmware and after that build up your custom ROM? I don`t think so, I rather believe that you was given a allready a finished ROM, maybe by ETOWALK, and modified it. So How can you say it is your one? Only by the reason that you modified it?
Of course, don't get me wrong, it is a brilliant work and I'm sure, I could never to this kind of programming and it surely works perfect, only the word "Mine" annoys me a bit.

But never the less, we accept your position and we deleted the ROM from our Database. As Petteri allready said, it is not our objective, do get some "credits" . We only want to help and support each other.

I never told that my ROM was build from scratch, in fact MT6516 Linux sources are not available to public, so I could never build the Android ROM from sources (although I wished so). Besides that, in the readme file that was supposed to be inside the .7z file along with the ROM parts, I mentioned the changes over the official version, so for a good understanding, it meant that it was based on the official ROM.

Of course, don't get me wrong, it is a brilliant work and I'm sure, I could never to this kind of programming and it surely works perfect, only the word "Mine" annoys me a bit.

I can say however that this is my custom ROM because I've put my work into it and made several changes to make it perform better. You're almost saying that no one could claim a custom ROM because the OS was not developed by the user that "compiled" the ROM...

Thank you for that, but I hope you understand why I asked you to remove the ROM. If I didn't wanted to help and support other people also, I wouldn't have released the ROM in the first place. And just to clarify, the official V6 ROM was not supplied by Etowalk. It was me that found it in some chinese forum and shared it with Etowalk, as well as my V6MOD ROM.

That's exactly the reason why I always try to implant some "internal" brandings whenever I am the first one to provide a new rom readback with some additional changes Once it's made public, it can end up everywhere, that way it's "traceable"

I would like to thank Bruno for his custom ROM's. They are better than the original as they are more tailored better to the non China user. Bruno has always been a very good Custom ROM maker for the ETEN / Acer comunity and has a lot of followers who know where his work is.
With so many ROM's around for the various versions of this HTC clone (T-Mobile touch with internal memory, T8585 HD2 resistive and the T8585 HD2/9 multitouch (and some of these have been sold with a T-Mobile logo!)) people are using the wrong ROM's when flashing and finding that they have a near useless phone.
Keeping the ROM's in there own domains should ensure that users are less likely to flash with the wrong version of ROM.
I am all for custom ROM's but we do need to be very carrefull about ensuring that they are well indicated for which version of this clone they are intended. May be a well marked link is all that is needed to the ROM's wherever they are hosted than have them in one download area?

I just wanted you to know that yesterday I've fixed the bug with the contacts matching with country code ID (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=5a6506736e136e6a&hl=en). I plan to release my v6.1MOD ROM today or later tomorrow. I will let you know then.

Ich habe ein Problem mit meiner Ringtonlautstärke. Vielleicht hat von euch jemand eine Lösung. Ich kann die Lautstärke auf das Maximum aufdrehen, aber man hört den Klingelton nur, wenn man sich das Handy ans Ohr hält.
