I68+ Firmware graphics

I checked out the pics you made available over on SNITZ from the I68 bin. I dont recognize alot of the png files there. Also, it refs that it is V1.0 in the file name and I think that is the I68 not the I68 plus. I know you said you weren't sure of the version, I'm just giving you feedback. I'm not able to check since my phone is on vacation in Canada, from where I purchased it.

I'm pretty sure the firmware I gave you is a firmware of the i68 PLUS version, simply because it has some pictures in it that the non-plus version can't have.

First of all, the "old" i68 does not have the "remote control" feature:

And most important, the "old" i68 isn't a dualband STANDBY phone, there is no way it could make phonecalls without switching the cards, so this interface MUST be from the i68 PLUS:

I really hope pretty soon somebody will fugure out how to flash this firmware back on a phone!!!

Stimmt! Eine nette Spielerei - aber so spontan fällt mir keine sinnvolle Möglichkeit der Anwendung ein.

Anyway, mein Phone hat die Remote Control eh nicht und ob ich dafür mein Phone flashen würde? Ich weiss nicht so recht...

Danke kleenercectfan2, ColonelZap ist korrekt. Ich werde das Beste übersetzen,ich kann.Ich bin in Ihrem Haus hier in diesen Foren. Jedoch Englisch würde mir helfen. Ich wohnte in Österreich und sprach Deutsches als Junge. Mein Teil von Texas hatte viele Cowboys oder "Rednecks". In jenen Jahren war es nicht gut, andere Sprachen hier zu sprechen. Sie würden Sie verletzen, wenn Sie Deutsches sprachen. 150 Meilen Süd und ich würden mit Leuten gewesen sein das Deutsches sprachen. Nicht gutes Glück für mich!

ColonelZap - Was Software sind du Gebrauchen zum extrahieren und ersetzen resources vom "bins"? Tun du wissen das RussChinaTel software? Es kann extrahieren und ersetzen resources. Es auch kombiniert MTK blinkende.

Thank you kleenercectfan2, ColonelZap is right. I must try to understand German the best that I can. I am in your house here in these forums.
It is up to me to translate to english the best I can. I lived in Austria and spoke German as a boy. In those years when I returned to the USA it was not good to speak German in my part of Texas or the "Rednecks" would severely kick your ass everyday. 150 miles south and I would have been in the part of Texas where German was spoken. Just my luck!

ColonelZap - what software are you using to pull and exchange the resources from the bins? Have you heard of "RussChinaTel". It extracts and replaces resources and has built in MTK flash software?

I've seen this "RussChinaTel" software before, I only found a demo version of it and for some reason I wasn't even able to install it?!?
It looks promising, though!!!


I'm basically using MTK Rescource Edit v1.3, I'll attach it

BTW, English is not a problem (at least for me), so if you are having too much trouble translating or posting things in German, feel free to write in English

I was able to get the RusChinaTel to work but it is a disabled demo version. It will extract resources but will not let you replace or save them.
I contacted them and they want $100 USD. Nice toy but I don't think I need it that bad. It does look and feel pretty good.
As far as my request to Whitt for support on the pinouts, etc., He has not been very forthcoming with info and I doubt he will. His agenda is not very well aligned with sciphone customers.

Of course Whitt isn't in favor of all this firmware flashing or engineer mode "playing around with", he sells sciPhones, of course he doesn't want his customers to screw up their phones and then ask for replacements or money back

I can't blame him, if I were selling phones, I'd be the same way

Hallo Ich ahbe mir neulich einen SciPhone I68 gekauft.
Ich weis nciht genau ob es ein i68+ oder i68 ist.
Und jetzt ahb ich ein problem...habe das ahndy am freitag gekauft(letzte woche)
und am montag ging es los.
Der Touchscreen funktioniert nicht.
Könnt ihr mir vielleicht helfen???
