i have done everything you explain, i write both same imeis in the blanks, i put everything you say in the tutorial, after that power on and after 15 seconds the error message appears...i dont know if i change some parameters but i dont know...i bet everybody has flashed imei with success have the etowalk cable, somebody hasnt done it with etowalk cable, not flash but write imei successfully??

Muss sagen, es läuft beinah so flüssig, wie das I9000..... ;-) (ich schiebe das mal auf die höhere Auflösung des HD2's...)

Kann man ganten china Mist eigentlich irgendwie deinstallieren ?

beim i9000 habe ich einfach auf werkszustand zurücksetzen gedrückt und schon war das ganze chinazeug wech und hatte vollkommen deutsches Android ohne irgendwelche mir unbekannten Zeichen

Has anyone been able to install the flash cable driver USB to Serial on a Win7 64 bit machine?
After installing each of the 3 in the package, none of them show up in my Device Manager under Ports.

@ir-tiger: Jop auf dem I9000 ging das, nur leider wird beim HD2 genau wieder der China Mist mitinstalliert, schein mit im ROM integriert zu sein.
@EL Vampiro: Yes, use the "Windows_allinone_PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v130.zip", it works 4 me and my W7 64bit.

Yes it works with Win7 Home Premium 64bit. I´ve done it with exactly my shared package on my Laptop.

@ Peppo: Das ganze Chinazeug bleibt immer drauf. Bisher hab ich´s nicht geschafft das runterzubringen. Ich bin gerade am "rooting". Vielleicht gehts danach.

Sooo,

ich habs jetzt gerootet und habe jetzt Superuser Rechte. Nun werde ich ein Backup machen, um dann bei der Wiederherstellung den Chinakram wegzulassen. Gruß Rainer

Hat jemand das HD2 schon mal mit einer FSE im Auto probiert ?
Habe das Problem, das zwar das Telefonbuch schon ins Auto importiert wird, allerdings wird das "+" Zeichen nicht mitkopiert, so wird dann jede Nr. als 49172xxxxx statt +49172xxxx dargestellt, wählen kann so so natürlich nicht.
Ausserdem stürzt mir die Telefon App(api) beim HD2 desöfteren ab, wenn ich Bluetooth verwende. Ich muss dann am Handy immer Akku raus und neu starten.

kleiner Tipp mal weil ich mich fast grad verrant hab:
wenn ihr die display Helligkeit auf 0% setzt seht ihr im ersten Moment kaum ne Änderung - wenn ihr dann allerdings euer Gerät sperrt / display aus scheint es so als gehts nicht mehr an, weil dann die Helligkeit wirklich auf 0 ist...

Also immer auf min. >0%!!!

Und ich hab grad schon nen Schrecken bekommen und habs nicht mehr entsperrt bekommen

I have tried to write the IMEA numbers like a 100 times now, but I keep getting the message "COM port does not exist or can't sync phone".
Does anyone know a solution for this?
I now have an ANdroid phone which does not work because of invalid IMEI numbers.

Yes, followed everything step by step and everything went fine until I needed to write the IMEI number with SN_Write.
No matter how many times and on how many computers I try (I tried 3 pc's) I always get the message "COM port does not exist or can't sync phone" and the phone never goes into meta mode.

UPDATE: I got it working. The trick is to have the phone on and connected through the flash cable. Then start up the SN_Write program. Once the settings are correct, take out the battery of the phone, wait 10 seconds and then fill in the IMEI's and start the phone again.

I was connecting the phone without battery, starting the program, doing the settings and then turning the phone on. That way it would not work.
